7 COMPATIBILITY
Windows 7 Application
compatibility helps the users to run the applications using the settings of
other windows platforms. For example if i want to run an application in Windows
7 operating system but that will only run in a platform that is other than
Windows 7 (Example:Windows Xp). These kinds of compatibility issues can be
resolved using Windows 7 Program Compatibility Wizard. Lets see the steps
needed...
Step
1:
Right click on the application exe or installation file of the application and
click on Troubleshoot Compatibility
option.
Step
2:
Select troubleshoot the program and it will search for the problems.
Step
3:
Now select the option “ The program worked in earlier version of windows but
won’t install or run now” and click next.
Step
4:
Now it will show a list of operating systems, choose one that the application
has worked earlier and click next.
Step
5:
Now click on “Start the program” button. In the next popup window choose save
settings if the program has executed successfully.
